In Fortune Greece & Cyprus 50, Infocredit Group CEO Theodoros Kringou explains how data is transformed into reliable intelligence and informed decisions, outlining the Group’s strategy for Risk Intelligence.

In his interview with Konstantina Chelidoni for Fortune Greece & Cyprus, Theodoros Kringou discusses Infocredit Group’s evolution from a provider of business and credit information into an international technology and Risk Intelligence organisation. The feature appears in the Fortune Greece & Cyprus 50 edition, whose ranking of the 50 largest companies headquartered in Cyprus is compiled using Infocredit Group’s business intelligence and expertise.

Since its establishment in 1972, the company has invested in transforming reliable data into knowledge, insight and business value. Today, it supports organisations in more than 135 countries, with a presence in Cyprus, Greece, Malta, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

From Information to Risk Intelligence

The Group’s CEO highlights that organisations now face interconnected regulatory, financial, operational, geopolitical and cyber risks. The answer is more than simply gathering additional data: it requires the ability to assess that data in real time and use it to support better business decisions.

In the interview, he discusses Infocredit Group’s investments in technology and its partnerships with LexisNexis Risk Solutions and Mastercard, which combine global data and expertise with the Group’s solutions.

Artificial Intelligence, RISQO and ComplianceSuite

As he explains, artificial intelligence enhances human judgement through speed, accuracy and predictive analytics. This principle underpins the development of RISQO, a Third-Party Multi-Risk Intelligence ecosystem that brings together data and analytical models to assess risks associated with customers, suppliers and business partners.

ComplianceSuite is the core technology pillar of the Group’s regulatory compliance strategy. The platform covers the full lifecycle, from digital onboarding, KYC and KYB to AML screening, risk assessment, transaction monitoring and case management.

Compliance as a Competitive Advantage

For Theodoros Kringou, compliance is more than an obligation; it is an investment in trust and growth. Prevention, transparency and the use of technology help businesses navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment while maintaining operational momentum.

Discussing Cyprus, he expresses optimism about its prospects as a regional hub for technology and financial services, emphasising the need for digital transformation, research, innovation and the development of a skilled workforce.

“The real competitive advantage of the next decade will lie not in who has the most data, but in who can transform it into reliable intelligence and business value.”
